Well Visits

To keep your children healthy, it is important to bring them in for regular checkups. We see patients from birth to age 21 years. The list below is our recommended schedule for well child visits. Information about immunizations given during well visits can be found under the Immunizations Page.  You can also access helpful tips for your newborn in our Newborn Baby Book.  Check out the CDC's resources on development from birth to age 5 on their website or click below

Schedule of Visits:

In addition to immunizations, we follow AAP recommended screening testing of vision, hearing, cholesterol, lead, and anemia. We also will fill out paperwork such as school forms, medication forms, and sports physical forms at the well visits. There is no need for a separate “sports physical” appointment.

Transitioning to an Adult Physician

Many of our high school age patients wonder how long they should see a pediatrician. We offer to take care of our patients through college. In some cases, our patients will transition earlier, and some later. Please see the attached documents for more information. The surveys are tools to stimulate conversation about how to make sure your child is knowledgeable about their health care prior to graduation. We also have care coordinators that can help with the transition process. You can also take an online quiz on readiness to transition to an adult provider here.
