Newborn Care
At Pediatric Associates, we love babies and providing
newborn care! We round on newborns at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. For babies born at other hospitals, such as Good Sam, Christ, or Mercy, a local group of pediatricians and neonatologists will manage their care. After discharge from the hospital, we would like see your baby within 2-3 days. Newborns from St. Elizabeth usually receive a home health visit within 1-2 days after discharge and have an office visit with us between day 5 and 7 of life. We are always available to see your child sooner if necessary, and we also offer access to an excellent
Lactation Counselor. This
newborn guide is an excellent resource, providing valuable information on fevers, breastfeeding, formula, jaundice, our vaccine schedule, introducing baby foods, and more.
