Employee Anniversary

Kelley Hillebrand has been working our front desk for the past 5 years at both our Cold Spring and Crestview Hills offices. Kelley has been an asset to our team from day one! She is very friendly and professional with coworkers as well as Pediatric Associates families. Because she is a reliable employee, as well as a quick study, Kelley has been trained to preform many other functions in our office. She is always willing to learn something new and embraces this additional responsibility with enthusiasm. Kelley thank you for your great attitude, hard work and dedication. Your smile and cheerfulness make such a difference in our office.

Need Paperwork for Camps or Sports this Summer?

Any paperwork you need can be filled out at your child's annual well visit. Please call to schedule now, don't wait until the last minute! Remember there are usually no co-pays or deductibles at the well visit.

Where is Union Florence?

Since more people are familiar with the areas of Union and Florence than the highway exit of Mt. Zion we have started calling our southernmost office Union Florence. No change in the physical location, great providers or caring service. We look forward to seeing you at this or either of our other two locations to help keep you or your children healthy.

Seeing Double

If your child is tested for flu we will test for 2 types of flu, commonly known as flu A and flu B. These are 2 separate tests and two separate charges. If you look at your bill and wonder if you are seeing double you may be but it is so that we are sure to test for both strains of flu so we can provide the best advice and care for your child.

Renovation Part 2

As we add the finishing touches to our upstairs renovation we are preparing for renovations to our Down Under. Starting the week of February 27 and running through the week of March 6 we will work to transform the Down Under to look more like the upstairs at Crestview Hills. There will be no appointments Down Under during this time except on Monday, March 6. We will be reminding everyone of this when they schedule or when we pre-register for already scheduled appointments.

For Our Patients That Are 21 and Older

Thank you for allowing us to provide your medical care! In 2023 we will no longer be caring for patients that are 21 or older. There are numerous providers in our area that provide adult medical care. These providers have relationships with adult specialists and hospital systems should you need this level of care. Please schedule an appointment with a new provider and request to have your records transferred to them. Again, thank you for the trust in us for all these years. We wish you all the best in the next chapter in your life!

Please contact our office as soon as your trip is planned so we can make sure all requirements and recommendations can be completed well in advance of your trip. Special Olympics of Northern Kentucky Coach on the World Stage

We let you know last month that our 2023 Community Partner is Special Olympics of Northern Kentucky . This month we are proud to tell you that the local swim coach, Debbie Ogden, has been recognized as the 2022 coach of the year by Kentucky Special Olympics. She is also the head swimming coach for the Special Olympics USA team competing in Berlin this year. Read the full article here .

Swimming is currently underway and they have 61 athletes on the NKY Dolphins roster. The first regional meet will be here in Northern Kentucky, on Saturday, March 18th beginning at 3:30 pm at Silverlake, The Family Place. Reccurrent Strep

We continue to see outbreaks of Group A Strep, the bacteria that causes strep throat and scarlet fever, in our community. Like in other communities across the country, the frequency of strep is higher this year than in the previous few years. Many of our patients have had strep more than once this season. This is usually because they have been re-exposed, not because antibiotics didn't work. Serious infections are rare but can happen, possibly due to co-infections with other viruses or the body's immune reaction to the bacteria. The good news...most strep infections are easily cured with antibiotics.
