Congratulations and Farewell to Marianne.
Marianne has been part of Pediatric Associates since we opened our doors in 1992. She led the office then our billing department and grew in experience as we grew. There were a lot of challenges along the way and she was always willing to lean into them and find a solution Her dedication, knowledge and deep friendships will be missed. We all wish Marianne fun travels and more time with family, especially her grandkids in her retirement.

Congratulations to Michelle Bosse APRN for 25 years of Service to Pediatric Associates!
Michelle is very dedicated, fun, and friendly. She has a loyal patient following and is quite popular among the staff and providers. She always has a great story to tell about her family and friends.
Michelle is from Cincinnati and resides there with her husband and 2 children. She earned her BSN from Good Samaritan Hospital and her MSN at the University of Cincinnati. Michelle did her clinical rotation here at PANK where she realized that she loved working in pediatrics. She stays current with new practice guidelines and also serves on focus groups at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Michelle volunteers weekly at La Soupe and enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on UC Football, XU basketball and all things Bengals, Reds, and FC Cincinnati. She also loves attending concerts with her friends, especially 80’s related and loves to read all genres of books.

New Year New Insurance
A New Year means new insurance and new deductibles for many.
Please make sure you are bringing your new Insurance card with you to your next appointment. This information is important for our Billing Department when filing claims and doing pre-certs for your children. Our goal is to scan an updated Insurance card every year, due to phone numbers and claims mailing addresses changing.
We also offer a Credit Card on File Program which allows us to take care of small balances for you. Please check your email for upcoming details!

3 Tips for Safe Sledding This Winter:
We hope your families have enjoyed playing in snow this winter! With a couple of months left in the season, we are surely to see more chances for fresh powder! Here are some tips for staying safe while sledding:
1. PROTECT THOSE NOGGINS: Head injuries from sledding accidents are quite common, and something we see every winter. Children often hit their heads first when falling because their heads are relatively heavier compared to the rest of their body. Your child's brain is worth the fight and the extra time it takes for 1 more piece of equipment! Helmets also keep those heads warm! Make sure kids ride feet first, not head first on the sled.
2. AVOID OBSTACLES AND HAZARDS: Avoid sledding near roads, trees, and ponds. Teach kids to roll off of the sled if they are headed towards an object. Be sure there is plenty of flat clear area in all directions at the bottom of your sledding hill. It's also a good idea to avoid wearing a scarf while sledding, as it can become caught in the sled.
3. NEVER USE A MOTOR VEHICLE TO PULL A SLED: We see serious injuries or deaths in our area every year from sledding accidents involving a sled being towed. Towing sleds significantly increases speed and force without a braking mechanism on the towed object. Curbs, poles, parked cars, or even hard snow become deadly in this situation.
Take frequent breaks from the cold to check fingers and toes! Have fun and stay safe this winter!

The Mental Health Benefits of Getting Outside in the Cold
The cold weather is officially upon us but don’t let that stop you from getting your kids and family outside! Although it takes more prep to get outside in the cold, the health benefits are worth it. Make getting outside a habit all year long!
The colder months often bring feelings of isolation, lethargy, or even Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). However, stepping outside—even in the cold—can do wonders for your mental well-being.
Here’s why braving the chill is worth it and how you can make it a habit this winter.
