Happy Employee Anniversary!
Congratulations to Kathy Cox RN on her 25th Anniversary with Pediatric Associates! Anyone who has been to the Union Florence office has more than likely met Kathy. She keeps that location organized, stocked and efficient. Kathy brings a lot of nursing experience to our staff, she has helped orient many of our newer employees, has offered her incredible knowledge to our staff, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone she is working with. Behind the scenes Kathy keeps us laughing. She always has great empathy for her coworkers, as well as our patients and their families. She is truly what Pediatric Associates is all about. Thank you Kathy for 25 wonderful years of hard work and dedication!

Since more people are familiar with the areas of Union and Florence than the highway exit of Mt. Zion we have started calling our southernmost office Union Florence. No change in the physical location, great providers or caring service. We look forward to seeing you at this or either of our other two locations to help keep you or your children healthy.

Flu Vaccines for the Whole Household!
Our flu clinic schedule will open on June 21, the first day of summer. We will have clinics available on October 7 and 21 and November 11, all Saturdays, at our Crestview Hills office.
We are excited to be able to keep families well this winter by vaccinating our patients and the adults who live with them.

Need Paperwork for Camps or Sports this Summer?
Any paperwork you need can be filled out at your child's annual well visit. Please call to schedule now, don't wait until the last minute! Remember there are usually no co-pays or deductibles at the well visit. Also, sports physical forms are valid for 1 full year from the well visit date.

Are you planning to travel internationally for this summer or fall? PANK has a very helpful Travel Health Program. If you are planning any upcoming travel outside the United States, please call our office for information regarding what may be needed for your child in preparation for travel. This includes reviewing required vaccines, recommended medications (covering a variety of topics such as traveler's diarrhea and altitude sickness), COVID entry requirements for each country, and much more info to keep your child healthy and safe while abroad. Please contact our office as soon as your trip is planned so we can make sure all requirements and recommendations can be completed well in advance of your trip. Recently many families have had difficulty refilling medications at their preferred pharmacy. This is particularly true for ADHD medications. In order to assist us in being able to refill your child's medication as efficiently as possible, we recommend checking with your pharmacy to confirm the medication is in stock and if they happen to be out, you will want to check with other pharmacies to see if they have the medication in stock. Once you have confirmed who has it in stock, please call our refill line and leave the pharmacy details with your refill request. Please remember, our policy is that it can take up to 48 hours to refill medications, so please allow ample time for this. Thank you for your patience and assistance as we try to make the refill process as smooth as possible for your family.

Continuity of care is a central component of the patient-centered medical home. There are many benefits to going to one place for all your child’s needs, whether for illness, behavioral health, sports physicals, or wellness checks. Here at Pediatric Associates, we pride ourselves in offering same day availability for illness 5 days a week at all three locations and on Saturdays at our Crestview Hills location.
Within our practice, you have many choices of providers, times and locations. There are situations where you will benefit by seeing the same provider for a given condition – such as for recurrent infections, weight or developmental checks, behavioral health issues, or chronic illness such as migraines, asthma, or abdominal pain.
When you schedule an appointment, please feel free to ask for a specific provider, especially if you have been working with them on a particular issue. This will enhance your experience and reduce redundant conversations. Our staff may encourage this when you call. Thank you for allowing us the privilege to help care for your children!
